Meet the Fabulous Budapest Team to find out more about who we are and what we do
I have travelled to many places in the world, and spent longer periods abroad, but I truly believe that Budapest is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I am fond of Budapest – it’s a vibrant city with an exceptional landscape along the Danube, with rich history, amazing and diverse architecture, having its own unique features. It is this enthusiasm that I would like to share with you during a city tour in English or French language, by explaining the historical and cultural background, the stories behind the scenes and the facades, and showing the hidden beauties and treasures of the city through the eyes of a local.
Hello All, I am Zsófi, a real Budapest girl who was raised in the castle district and now living in the historical city centre of Budapest.
Budapest is a very special place. Its colours and shapes are diverse, like a basket of summer fruit. Every piece is unique and different – it always surprises me what it has to offer. One has to be curious to taste it all…I love walking through the hills of Buda, breathing in the fresh essence of the river Danube on the warm breeze. I like discovering the sculptures and statues dotted all around the City, having a nap in the parks and seeing all the different opportunities Budapest has to offer to make people smile every day.
Love Budapest, and Budapest will love you back even more.
I’m Dea and I’ve been working as a tour guide in Budapest for more than 3 years now, and I’ve done a great variety of tours from downtown walks to interactive design workshop tours. As per my degree I’m a product design engineer, I graduated from the Textile and Leather Faculty at Óbuda University, so if I’m not doing tours, I’m designing clothes. I’ve just started to build my own organic clothing brand this year. I travel a lot, and what I really enjoy about travelling is that I have the chance to try and taste national dishes of different cultures and to learn a few words in a foreign language. I love learning languages, I speak English and German and I’ve been studying Russian for about a year now. Summertime makes me laugh all the time, especially on days above 30°C 🙂
This is Erika here! I am a really enthusiastic person, I can get fond of anything, such as Hungarian folk traditions, black and white movies or operas. I have been studying tourism at university and I admire my own country and my city, Budapest where I was born and raised. Tour guiding is my new love, I have had downtown walking tours, bike tours and boat tours during the last one year. I really love travelling anytime anywhere to meet new cultures through local eyes, breathe new air and collect unforgettable memories. If you offer me chocolate, I always accept it with a huge smile. 🙂
I met Zsofi’s service in the framework of Kreater’s program for social innovation (iGEN). I was happy to join Zsofi’s project during the program as I consider myself a real local. I was born and raised in Budapest, this is my hometown and I’d like to show everyone why our capital is so unique and fabulous. Thanks to the European Youth in Action/Erasmus+ programs I could travel a lot around Europe, but it is always good to come back and plunge into the vibrating and colorful world of Budapest. I went on to become a team member contributing to the content of the Fabulous Blog.
After having travelled to 28 countries of Europe I still believe Budapest is one of the best cities to visit as a tourist. The history, the sights and the beauties of the capital still fascinate me even after living the first 20 years of my life here. Because of this I didnt have to think too much when I was offered a chance to join the team of Fabulous Budapest. As responsible for the online presence I manage the website and the Facebook profile of Fabulous Budapest. If you have any suggestions for the above, please don’t hesitate to share your ideas with us 🙂
